EmergencyCall nowFood

Especially affected animals: Dog, Cat

Why it is dangerous

Ethanol in alcoholic drinks, alcoholic desserts, hand sanitizer and raw yeast dough is absorbed quickly. It can cause loss of balance, a drop in blood sugar and slowed breathing.

Possible signs

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Staggering, loss of balance
  • Lethargy
  • Slow breathing

What to do

Remove the product and take its bottle or packaging with you. Call your veterinarian right away. Do not try to make your pet vomit unless the veterinarian tells you to, and do not leave your pet alone.

This is general guidance and does not replace a veterinary examination. Ask your veterinarian for a plan tailored to your pet.
