Why it is dangerous
Iron is essential for the body, but too much of it is toxic. Iron supplements, prenatal vitamins, chemical hand warmers, and the small oxygen absorber packets found in food packaging are the main sources.
Possible signs
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Loss of appetite
- Bloody vomit or diarrhea
- Weakness, collapse
What to do
Take the product's box and check how many tablets are missing. Call your veterinarian immediately. Do not try to make your pet vomit unless the veterinarian tells you to.
